Valencia have taken steps to suspend Adil Rami on the grounds of gross misconduct, pending a final course of action.
The player was believed to have provisionally been suspended without pay after hitting out at teammates and his Coach in a radio interview given this midweek.
After missing today’s training session, Rami met with President Amadeo Salvo to explain his actions, with talks between the two lasting over two hours.
On from this, reports are that the club have suspended the player on a charge of gross misconduct.
It is understood that the 27-year-old will have a period reported as between five and 15 days to appeal, just as the club will use the same time to determine a final course of action.
Rami will not be allowed to go to Valencia’s stadium nor their training ground during this suspension, although he will continue to be paid.
