Djukic: I won’t resign

Miroslav Djukic has reportedly determined that he will not resign as Coach at Valencia, amid speculation over his job.

With Los Che having had their early-season crisis worsened with Thursday evening’s Europa League defeat at home to Swansea City, rumours are that the Serb’s position as Coach is already in doubt.

However, in taking Friday’s training session, the 47-year-old reportedly made clear that he has no intention of resigning.

“I look at this with strength. The same as always. I will not resign,” Djukic is quoted as saying at the club's training ground.

The former centre-back confirmed that he and his coaching staff held an hour-long meeting with the players before training began on Friday morning.

“We all agreed that we lack confidence and that we can start resolving this with a win.”

Meanwhile, reports are that Djukic then met with President Amadeo Salvo and sporting director Braulio Vazquez for lunch, where it is believed that the duo discussed how to reverse the current slide.
