Carlos Vela says that Real Sociedad will be aiming to rectify defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk by winning their next Champions League outing.
La Real began their campaign in the European competition with defeat at home to the Ukrainians, thanks to two second-half goals from Alex Teixeira.
“Shakhtar are a good team. We knew that they are strong, with excellent players in their team,” mused Vela post-match.
“Here, the rivals have shown how they could be in the Champions League. Now, we need to continue fighting and learn a lot of things to get better and be ready for the next encounters.
“We will fight. Trying to cause problems to our opponents. We will work even more in training and get stronger – both physically and mentally.
“And we will try to win the next game!”
