Levante defender Issam El Adoua has picked out the player to have caught his eye the most in his first month in Spain – teammate Ruben Garcia.
The Moroccan international versatile defensive player, who signed for Los Granotes this summer, believes that his midfield colleague Ruben [pictured] has be La Liga’s standout performer so far this season.
“I like very many players in the Spanish League, but the one I have liked the most so far is a Levante player – I like Ruben a lot,” El Adoua told reporters today, before reflecting on his adaptation to La Liga.
“In the first preseason game it was hard for me. I did not understand the tactics, but little by little I am adapting better.
“My preferred position? My goal is to play for the team, not for myself.
“But if I have to choose, I prefer to play at centre-back. I’m calmer, I play not to concede goals and can stay focused for the 90 minutes.”
