Real Madrid have been handed a double boost with the return to full training of Fabio Coentrao and Raphael Varane.
The duo were the notable additions to the main group in Wednesday’s training session at Valdebebas, returning to work alongside their colleagues after respective injuries.
Coentrao had missed Madrid’s last two fixtures after returning from international duty with Portugal earlier this month with a thigh injury.
Varane, meanwhile, has been out of action since May, when he suffered a torn meniscus that required surgical intervention on.
Marcelo and Xabi Alonso continued recovery work from respective injuries in the gym and were joined by Luka Modric, whilst the rest of the players who featured in yesterday’s 6-1 win at Galatasaray were given a day of rest.
