Bravo welcomes 200 landmark

Claudio Bravo has celebrated the fact that he is due to make his 200th appearance for Real Sociedad this midweek.

The goalkeeper is in line to reach the landmark in Tuesday’s home Champions League fixture with Shakhtar Donetsk.

“It is very important,” mused Bravo to reporters this week.

“Over the course of playing games come things that fill one inside as a player, like reaching 200 appearances for La Real, which is nothing small at a club like this and for being a foreign player.

“I am very happy and very excited. To me it is beautiful, it means that I am doing something that will be remembered at an important club like La Real.

“I hope that after reaching this figure I can play many more games for La Real.”

The Chilean also reflected on targeting further appearance landmarks at the club.

“It would be a good sign also, because I would surpass a great player like Darko Kovacevic, who is the most capped foreign player at this club [currently with 270 appearances].

“I hope to continue here for a long time. The game against Shakhtar will be a very attractive one and we trust that everything will work out marvellously for us.”
