Eusebio has claimed he is ‘sad’ to see comparisons between himself and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Real Madrid forward surpassed the Benfica legend as Portugal’s second top goalscorer of all time last week when he netted a hat-trick against Northern Ireland.
“It is sad that these comparisons are made,” he told RTP. “Now it is easier. I never played against Liechtenstein and Azerbaijan.
“It is a mistake. There is no comparison. I played 60 times for Portugal and scored 41 goals.
“Now it is easier. It’s sad, I feel sad – you cannot make these comparisons.”
