Madrid quartet continue recovery

Isco Alarcon, Marcelo, Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo all underwent recovery work in training at Real Madrid today.

The quartet have all been released back to Los Blancos ahead of schedule by their respective national teams, after picking up injuries during the past week.

Ronaldo, who was working at Valdebebas on Monday too, continued an individual recovery programme on his aggravated tendinitis sustained playing for Portugal against Northern Ireland on Friday.

Meanwhile, Marcelo, Isco and Modric worked indoors alongside Xabi Alonso in recovery work on their respective injuries.

Madrid were at least handed a boost with the return of Raphael Varane to specific ball work on the field for the first time, as he moves into the final phase of recovery from knee surgery undergone in April.
