Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea are reportedly already lining up a lucrative contract offer to sign Barcelona’s Victor Valdes next summer.

Despite having Petr Cech on their books and Thibaut Courtois out on loan for a third year at Atletico Madrid, former Real Madrid Coach Mourinho is believed keen to pick up Valdes.

Specifically targeting the 31-year-old, report Sport, it is believed that the London side have already approached those close to the player and received a positive response.

With Valdes set to leave the Catalans on a free transfer next summer at the expiry of his contract, the Stamford Bridge outfit are apparently readying a €10m-a-year contract offer to tempt Valdes to England.

This is seen as the figure the player is asking prospective clubs for and that Chelsea, alongside Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco, have already indicated they are interested in meeting.
