Barca question Dani Alves’ future

Barcelona may think twice about offering Dani Alves a new contract, reports in the Spanish Press suggest.

Marca claim that the Blaugrana are seriously questioning whether to offer the Brazilian an extension in two years’ time.

The wing-back’s deal ends in 2015, when he will be 32 – and the hierarchy at Camp Nou have doubts about whether Alves can sustain his current level at that age.

The former Sevilla man has been coveted by some of the biggest names in Europe this summer, especially Paris Saint-Germain.

And Tata Martino’s men would consider selling the defender, if the right amount came in.

One thing stopping the Catalans offload Alves however, is his relationship with Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Barca are obviously keen to keep their two star attackers happy, and keeping the Selecao international could be one way to do that.
