David Luiz says that Dani Alves and Neymar tried to convince him to leave Chelsea for Barcelona, but he decided against the move.
The defender was reported this summer as the subject of an offer from the Catalans and today has reiterated that as fact, on from first doing so earlier this week.
“There was a formal offer from Barcelona but I decided to stay at Chelsea,” Luiz has told today’s edition of The Sun.
“Dani Alves and Neymar were sent to try to convince me to sign, but I was clear with them I was staying.
“It was not Chelsea's decision, it was mine.”
