Ronaldo ‘angry at Ozil’s exit’

Cristiano Ronaldo is being attributed as making clear to Portugal teammates this week his frustration at seeing Real Madrid sell Mesut Ozil.

The German playmaker was offloaded to Arsenal on the final day of the transfer window in a €45m sale to Arsenal and it is apparently to Ronaldo’s ire.

On from the likes of Alvaro Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos and Sami Khedira commenting on their regret at seeing the 24-year-old depart, Madrid’s No 7 reportedly made clear his feelings to Portuguese colleagues whilst out on international duty this week.

“Ozil’s exit is bad news for me. He was a player who best knew my moves in front of goal,” Ronaldo is believed by AS as telling his Portugal teammates in training yesterday.

“I’m angry at Ozil’s exit,” is another phrase the 28-year-old is believed to have repeated during the workout.
