Getafe have confirmed the signing of Benfica defender Lisandro Lopez on a season-long loan deal.
Benfica only signed the recently-turned 24-year-old this summer from Arsenal de Sarandi in a €5m deal.
However, they have agreed to send him out to the Spanish capital on a one-year loan, as confirmed by Getafe in a brief statement on their website.
Centre-back Lisandro, who shares his name with Al-Gharafa’s former Lyon striker, has been previously linked with Arsenal, Milan and Malaga in the transfer market.
