Aurtenetxe has good Celta feeling

Celta Vigo defender Jon Aurtenetxe says he has a “good feeling” about the club after their unbeaten start to the season.

The Galicians have managed a win and two draws from the opening three La Liga fixtures and the Basque-born player, who made his debut on Saturday against Granada, believes he had made a good choice following his summer loan move from Athletic Bilbao.

“We’ve not lost any our first three games and I have a good feeling here, which is the most important thing.

“Hopefully that will continue and we carry on playing the way we have been doing and get even more good results,” he told a Press conference.

“I felt pretty good against Granada and played as a left central defender, although it’s not a new position for me despite having not done so in the last few years.

“I played there for Athletic’s youth team so on Saturday I felt pretty comfortable.”

However, the Spanish Under-21 international felt his team deserved more than the one point they took away from the 1-1 draw with the Andalusians.

“They didn’t create many opportunities but were fortunate to score with their first one.

“On the chances we had we deserved to have earned a better result, so it was a shame we only drew,” lamented Aurtenetxe.
