Real Sociedad boss Jagoba Arrasate has praised Sunday’s opponents Atletico Madrid, calling them ‘a demanding team’.
The Erreala face the capital club at Anoeta tomorrow having advanced to the Champions League group stages on Wednesday.
But the Coach is not using that as an excuse, given that Diego Simeone’s men played Barcelona in the Supercopa.
“It’s an important game for us,” he told a Press conference. “I’m sure it’ll be a nice and attractive match.
“We’ll have to avoid the sort of performance that we put in against Elche last weekend. I’ll repeat that to my players – but sometimes it’s easier said than done.
“Atleti are a demanding team, so we’ll have to be alert.
“They put in a lot of effort at Camp Nou, but for me they are one of the best in the League – certainly one of the fittest.
“If we do the right things though, we’ll have a chance to win.”
