Luis Enrique doesn’t know if playing teams the week after Real Madrid this season is a ‘handicap or an advantage’ for Celta Vigo.
The Galicians notably have it in this year’s fixture set-up to play opponents each week that in the previous round will have played Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
“I’m not sure if it’s a handicap or an advantage,” reflected Enrique to reporters today.
“We will know when the season comes to an end. For now, I still do not know.
“I anticipate Granada to play like they have done in the previous two rounds. They are a very difficult team to beat, with good transitions in attack on the counter.
“They have a good strategy and are also strong in defence. I have told my players that it will cost them a lot of work if they are to move forward in this game.
“Are we suffering defensively at the moment? I do not see that the team has to improve in defence.
“We are doing very much in terms of this facet. Of the 11 chances we created against Betis last week, seven were from set-pieces.”
