Casemiro reflected on Real Madrid’s 1-0 win at Granada on Monday night and on not starting the fixture despite the team’s midfield issues.
Carlo Ancelotti went with Luka Modric and Isco as holding midfielders in Andalucia for Week 2’s closing game, despite having the Brazilian, a natural holding midfielder, on the bench.
“Ancelotti knows what he’s doing,” reflected Casemiro to reporters afterwards.
“Isco and Modric, who are two great players with great qualities, started the game.
“I wasn’t surprised to not start the game.
“I am not worried and now I have to carry on working had to get opportunities.
“We knew it was hard to play against them but we manager to win. They are three important points that we have won here.”
