Jagoba Arrasate is reportedly set to rotate his Real Sociedad team for this weekend’s match against Elche, with one eye on the Champions League.
The San Sebastian outfit travel out to the newly promoted team this Saturday evening for a Week 2 fixture that falls in between the first and second leg of the club’s Champions League Play-off round tie with Lyon.
With La Real 2-0 up from the away leg in France played on Tuesday, speculation is that Arrasate will make a number of changes ahead of hosting the Ligue 1 side next Wednesday.
Antoine Griezmann, Carlos Martinez and Inigo Martinez are all doubts to feature at the weekend having struggled for fitness and training during the week, whilst David Zurutuza, Carlos Vela and Haris Seferovic may all also be rested.
Former Real Madrid man Esteban Granero is believed to be in contention for a first start, since moving to the club from Queens Park Rangers, whilst Chory Castro and Ruben Pardo could also kick-off at Elche.
