Luis Enrique promises Celta goals

New Celta Vigo boss Luis Enrique says he is not worried about his side’s lack of goals in pre-season and has promised more than last year.

The Galicians managed just 37 in La Primera last term, with only Osasuna scoring fewer, and one goal in four summer friendlies has had supporters fearing there may be more of the same throughout the 2013-14 campaign.

However, Enrique has moved to put their minds at ease by insisting matters will improve come the start of the season.

“We are in the middle of a new process and asking new things of the players. It is a process that has to be learned quickly and something we are working on.

“I’ve no doubt the team will end up doing what I want and, I hope, we will score more goals than last year. Indeed, we have strengthened in the attacking department,” the former Barcelona B and Roma Coach told a Press conference.
