Valencia are casting their eyes towards Chelsea as boss Jose Mourinho takes stock of his squad before the start of the new season.
Los Che completed the signing of striker Helder Postiga from Real Zaragoza this week, but director of football Braulio Vazquez is still scouring the market to strengthen boss Miroslav Djukic’s attacking options.
According to Marca, Vazquez is set to raid the Premier League outfit for either Romelu Lukaku or Demba Ba [pictured] to put pressure on Postiga, Jonas and Paco Alcacer up front, providing Mourinho intends to discard one or the other.
Vazquez’s first choice is understood to be Demba Ba, although the Senegal international has recently struggled with a knee injury.
In either case, the Spanish outfit are likely to want an initial season-long loan agreement with an option to buy.
