Perez on Bale, Ronaldo, Ancelotti & Mou

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has admitted that €100m seems too much for any player.

Los Blancos are rumoured to have offered Tottenham that sum for Gareth Bale this summer, but the Santiago Bernabeu chief has conceded that nine figures is an enormous amount.

“I have a good relationship with the player, the club and the President after we signed Modric,” he told ESPN.

“I do not want to talk about names or money, but yes, €100m seems like a lot for anyone.”

Perez then commented on Cristiano Ronaldo's protracted contract situation at Madrid, as well as Carlo Ancelotti and Jose Mourinho.

“Cristiano and I have both said that we believe he will end his sporting life at Real Madrid.

“At the end of the summer we will try to sort it out.

“Before the month ends, or at the beginning of next month we will sort it.

“But there is no big hurry.

“All the Coaches over the years have contributed something. Mourinho brought something important and I'm confident Ancelotti will do so over the coming years.

“We're going to enjoy a Coach that brings with him experience in managing great players.

“Last year started badly, but under Mourinho we took a quantum leap.”
