Jose Mourinho has tried to defuse any tension that may arise when his Chelsea team face Real Madrid this evening.
The Premier League side face Los Blancos in the final of the Guinness International Champions Cup on Wednesday.
And after his barbed comments towards the club and Cristiano Ronaldo recently, the Portuguese tactician has attempted to offer an olive branch.
“We face a very special team with special players,” he told reporters. “And this is not a competition we are obsesses with winning.
“I will continue to do the same things I've done so far – playing different players in the first and second half.
“We came to the tournament and of course the final against Real Madrid is special, but we are not obsessed with getting a good result.
“We just want to improve our game.”
