Juve hope for Bosman Alonso – report

Juventus are keeping an eye on Xabi Alonso’s contract situation at Real Madrid seeing as he may be available on a Bosman next summer.

According to Tuttosport, the Spanish international could be the Italian club’s latest high profile free agent signing should he not pen an extension at Real.

The Spain international has been hesitant to sign an extension at Santiago Bernabeu, and Antonio Conte’s side could be ready to take full advantage.

Juve have managed to pick up Andrea Pirlo from Milan, Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and  Athletic Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente on similar deals in recent years.

The former Liverpool playmaker, who will be 32 later this year, was originally wanted by the Old Lady in the summer of 2008.

Alonso could be used as an alternative to Pirlo next season seeing as the Italian will be 35 by the time the 2014-15 campaign starts.
