Diego Lopez has insisted that Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain was ‘the best so far this preseason’.
Karim Benzema’s first half goal was enough to give Los Blancos the victory in Gothenburg, and the goalkeeper has admitted that there has been a steady improvement so far this summer.
“It was our best match so far this preseason,” he told the club’s official website.
“We played against a good opponent, that were better physically, and we are happy because we were perfect in defence and attack.
“We are getting better bit by bit. You could see that there was an improvement and it is important to see an evolution in every match.”
The shot-stopper then commented on Carlo Ancelotti’s impact since arriving from PSG.
“He has asked us to build a group and a team around his ideas.
“The team has received him very well. The way we’re playing has been good and we need to keep working to reach the point that we all want to get to.
“We want to form a very tight group and be prepared for what lies ahead in the season.”
