Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has refused to comment on whether the club could make a move for Pepe.
The Real Madrid defender has been heavily linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium this summer, but the Chilean Coach has insisted that he won’t comment on rumours.
“I don’t talk about rumours,” he told a Press conference in Hong Kong.
“I haven’t mentioned anyone specific because that’s not the best thing for us, so we won’t be talking about Pepe or any other names.
“We’ll see what happens this month and in August.”
The tactician did admit though, that the club’s squad was not yet complete.
“We still have July and some days in August to make up the squad, which is not complete yet.
“The club has spent money on top players such as Stevan Jovetic and Negredo, but you also have to remember that Balotelli and Tevez were here this time last year so we have to replace two top players with another two top players.”
