Blanc looking forward to Madrid test

Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has admitted that he is looking forward to facing Real Madrid this evening.

The French club play Los Blancos in Gothenburg on Saturday night, and the tactician has insisted that it will be a good test.

“We always look for a lot from friendly matches, especially when you play a team such as Real Madrid,” he told reporters.

“It's our last match before we start our competitive fixtures.

“We have welcomed certain players and we are waiting on others to finalise our pre-season.

“We have players who need this match to fine-tune their preparations.”

The 47-year-old then commented on a reunion with former teammate Zinedine Zidane, as well as the partnership between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani.

“It's always great to see him again. Throughout my playing career, I always preferred playing with Zinedine rather than against him!

“It’s always a pleasure to see him on and off the pitch.

“When you have Cavani and Ibrahimovic in the same team, you play with two strikers.

“That’s what any Coach would do. But you don’t have to be prisoners to a system to cause the opponent problems.”
