Jesus Navas has enthused at the prospect of being able to continue his partnership with Alvaro Negredo at Manchester City.
Navas, who moved from Sevilla to the Premier League side early in the summer, last week saw Negredo agree to the same switch.
“It's an exciting time to be joining City and I'm confident we will enjoy the season and do great things together,” Navas explained to City’s official website this week.
“Obviously I know Alvaro well. He was a team-mate of mine at Sevilla and he scores lots of goals. I'm very pleased to see him following me to City.
“For me, it was very clear what I wanted to do. I wanted to join City. Both Alvaro and I were convinced that City is a great club to join.
“We want to try to recreate the partnership in the Premier League. But really it's a team effort – it will be down to all of us if we are going to be successful.”
