Valencia failed to score in a disappointing pre-season friendly draw with German Fourth Division side Mannheim.
Miroslav Djukic’s men struggled to find any rhythm against the minnows and the Serbian acknowledged there is still a lot to work on before the start of the new season.
“When you don’t score goals you immediately think of the forwards, as we have good players in that area. Soldado, Jonas and Paco Alcacer have a lot of quality so I’m not going to ask too many questions.
“We didn’t win and we had problems in bringing the ball out from the back, while we were lacking in front of goal.
“We created some danger and did have chances but there was a noticeable tiredness in the team.
“The players worked hard but it showed they are still not ready to compete. They were very tired and that produces errors,” he explained.
