‘Ancelotti wants Higuain to stay’

Ernesto Bronzetti, a respected FIFA agent, says Carlo Ancelotti wants to keep Gonzalo Higuain at Real Madrid.

Higuain has this week been linked with a move to Napoli, although Madrid are understood to be digging their heels in and will not enter into negotiations for the player at less than €40m.

However, in an interview with CRC, Bronzetti claims Ancelotti will do all in his power to convince the Argentine international that his future lies at the Bernabeu.

“I don’t think Napoli can sign Higuain because Ancelotti wants him to continue at Madrid,” said Bronzetti.

“Real Madrid, therefore, do not want to sell the player and I have to say that they do not sign players who are over 30, so [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic will not be coming.

“The Madrid attack consists of Cristiano Ronaldo, [Karim] Benzema and Higuain, all great players, and they would never have paid €63m for Edinson Cavani.”
