Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has ruled out any move from the Ligue 1 club for Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Speculation has continued that cash-rich PSG would make a bid for the Portuguese star this summer, despite Carlo Ancelotti leaving the club, but in an interview with RMC radio Al-Khelaifi appeared to put the matter to rest.

“If I wanted Cristiano Ronaldo I would call [Madrid President] Florentino Perez, but the player has two years left on his contract at Real Madrid. I wish him all the best,” he declared.

At the same time, Al-Khelaifi denied that defender Thiago Silva would be leaving PSG, following on from the player’s remarks this week that he would complete his contract at the Parc des Princes.

“Thiago Silva will not be going to Barcelona. He has a four-year contract with us and will be playing in Bordeaux when we contest the Champions Trophy in August. He wants to play in that competition.

“In fact, it is us that are looking at some Barca players,” he conceded.
