Thiago Silva to ask for Barca move

Thiago Silva will reportedly break from vacation this week to inform Laurent Blanc of his desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Barcelona this summer.

The Brazilian centre-back has been increasingly linked with interest from the Blaugrana this transfer window, as they look to improve options in defence for next season.

Whilst PSG and the player’s agent have continually remarked that the 28-year-old will not be sold, reports have continued to suggest otherwise.

Today, Sport are running the line that the former Milan man is breaking from his vacation a week earlier than he is due back for preseason, in order to return to Paris and meet with PSG’s new Coach Blanc.

It is believed that Thiago’s intention is to inform the Frenchman of his desire to leave the Parc des Princes this summer, so as to sign for Barca.

Sport also believe that the player already has a verbal agreement with the Catalans to sign a five-year contract at the Camp Nou.
