Miroslav Djukic has revealed that Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic recommended Valencia move for Oriol Romeu this summer.
Considering the capture from the preseason training camp in Germany, the club’s Coach revealed that a conversation with his Serbian compatriot helped convince him of the young Spaniard’s worth.
“I believe that he has captured the mindset that we require here and he is very motivated,” began Djukic to reporters today.
“Ivanovic told me he was a good player, a good person and an extraordinary guy, and I called him to explain our idea and what we were offering.
“His experience at Barcelona and Chelsea? I saw him as very receptive and involved, wanting to be a part of our project.
“We know the effort that has been made in bringing him here because he had other offers, we are grateful.”
