Kaka could get Madrid lifeline

Real Madrid midfielder Kaka could be handed the chance to resurrect his career with the Spanish giants.

A report in Marca maintains new boss Carlo Ancelotti is in no rush to dispense with the Brazilian international’s services and will instead try to find out why his career has appeared to stall at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It is understood the Italian has already discussed the situation with the Madrid hierarchy, being made aware the former Milan idol has not had the best of luck with injuries since his arrival in summer 2009.

Ancelotti was also told the 31-year-old had been a model professional and he feels a rejuvenated Kaka could bring a lot to his first-team squad next season, whilst also remaining a good influence in the dressing room.

In addition, the former Chelsea boss believes the forward can hit back at critics who have written him off as a failure in the Spanish capital.
