Djukic ‘has paid Valladolid’

Miroslav Djukic’s lawyer has issued a statement claiming that the Valencia Coach has paid Real Valladolid the compensation they say he hasn’t.

Valladolid yesterday filed a legal complaint at court against their former tactician, alleging that he had not paid the €350,000 to buy out the final year of his contract in order to complete a move to Valencia this summer.

However, the 47-year-old’s legal representative handling the case has asserted otherwise, releasing a two-point statement.

“1 – Given the respect and affection that Djukic has for the club and its fans, we express that our client exhausts all friendly avenues possible to resolve this dispute,” read Vicente Montes’ words on the issue.

“2 – That as Real Valladolid have opted for legal action, we want to inform the general public and fans of Real Valladolid in particular the following – Djukic has paid to Real Valladolid the termination clause specified in the contract linking the two parties.

“On the contrary, Real Valladolid still owes Djukic amounts payable for the season just ended 2012-13.”
