Valencia boss Miroslav Djukic believes that Roberto Soldado will still be with Los Che in time for the new season.
The Spain international has been heavily linked with a move away from Mestalla this summer, with Tottenham and Atletico Madrid both keen for his signature.
But the new Coach has claimed that his star striker will stay at the club.
“I think Roberto is going to stay with us,” he told reporters. “I am very calm about that.
“Soldado is very important to us and I want him to lead this team.”
The Serbian was then questioned on the team's relative lack of signings.
“We have a good squad in place, but there is still some room to grow.”
