Tottenham Hotspur could make a move for Spain Under-20 star Jese and boost Real Madrid’s hopes of signing Gareth Bale.
A report in the Daily Star claims Spurs are trailing the Castilla player after his performances in La Segunda for Real’s second string last term have seen him become hot property.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is looking to strengthen his attack at White Hart Lane before the start of the 2013-14 Premier League campaign and his interest in the 20-year-old could pave the way for Bale’s move in the opposite direction.
The Welsh international is understood to be a major target for new Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti and youngster Jese has recently been quoted as saying his future at the Santiago Bernabeu is still uncertain.
Jese’s arrival at the London club would mean Villas-Boas could have a suitable replacement for Bale, meaning he may be more sympathetic to his star man’s desire for a move to the Spanish capital.
