Carlo Ancelotti reportedly wants to meet with Gonzalo Higuain next week in an attempt to convince him to stay at Real Madrid.
Since last week the Argentine has been reported as on the verge of a move to Arsenal, with only differences on the transfer fee offered delaying things.
Whilst this follows on from the player’s own declaration on the final day of last season that he was absolute in his desire to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, his new Coach reportedly still holds hope of convincing him to stay on.
AS report that Ancelotti is keen to meet with Higuain on July 15, which is the first day of preseason training for those members of the squad not involved at the Confederations Cup.
It is understood that the Italian is keen to sit down with the 25-year-old and try and talk him into staying.
