Former Brazil striker Ronaldo has admitted that he would have rather seen Neymar sign for Real Madrid.
The 21-year-old forward was revealed as a Barcelona player last month after joining from Santos.
But the ex-Blancos goalscorer has conceded that he would have preferred the youngster to join his old team.
“I would have preferred Neymar to sign for Madrid,” he told reporters. “But that is not for me to say.
“With so many clubs after him it was difficult to pull off.
“But Barcelona is a great team and we know he'll do well in Europe.
“For us Brazilians he is already a legend.”
