It is not clear how close the 31-year-old and Diego Simeone’s men are to agreeing a contract.
But the Barcelona-based newspaper insist the Rojiblancos will discuss a deal with the Blaugrana later next week.
Villa has been heavily linked with a move away from Camp Nou this summer, with Tottenham and Arsenal also said to be interested.
