Nolito has reflected on his happiness to have signed for Celta Vigo this summer, admitting that Luis Enrique’s presence played a part in his decision.
The 26-year-old, who spent last season on loan from Benfica at Granada, has secured a permanent return to La Liga this week with, with Celta understood to have paid €2.5m for 70 per cent of his playing rights.
The Galicians are now coached by Enrique, who worked with Nolito during their time together at Barcelona B.
“I have arrived at a very nice sporting project,” the striker told reporters at his presentation yesterday evening.
“I am happy to be back in the Spanish League and am willing to do everything possible to help the team.
“Enrique’s presence has something to do with the move, but particularly so did the club and the city.”
