‘We’ll take the game to Spain’

Dani Alves has handed out a warning to the Spanish national team, insisting that Brazil will 'take the game' to their opponents.

La Roja play the host nation in the final of the Confederations Cup on Sunday, and the Barcelona defender has insisted that his side have what it takes to win.

“We are playing at home, we need to take the game to Spain and make them understand that this is Brazil,” he told a Press conference.

“I hope that the team is up to the level required for a game like this– we’re up against the best national team in the world.

The final’s going to be a real sight to see for those watching, I hope that we can give them something to cheer.

To be a great champion, you have to believe that you are the best and if you aren’t, then you have to act as though you are.

If we go out there feeling inferior, they will put two or three goals past us in 10 minutes.”
