Martinez & Cesc to start in final?

Vicente Del Bosque could bring in Javi Martinez and Cesc Fabregas for the Confederations Cup final against Brazil, reports suggest.

Terra believe that the Bayern Munich midfielder may come into the starting XI for Xavi Hernandez, who is said to be suffering with ‘muscle fatigue’.

It would mean La Roja change from their ubiquitous 4-3-3 formation to a 4-2-3-1 – Martinez and Sergio Busquets would act as the double pivot.

Fabregas would also make his way into the side for Fernando Torres and play as the ‘false nine’. Torres was underwhelming in the semi-final penalty win over Italy, and the Barcelona man has reportedly recovered from the injury that kept him out of the match with the Azzurri.

Possible starting XI vs. Brazil: Casillas; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Alba; Martinez, Busquets; Pedro, Silva, Iniesta; Fabregas.
