Madrid, Malaga confirm Isco deal

Real Madrid and Malaga have both released statements confirming that a deal for the transfer of Isco has been completed, subject to a medical.

It was widely reported since last weekend that the 21-year-old had reached an agreement to move across to the capital club, after an impressive campaign at La Rosaleda with the Anchovies.

Both clubs have today made official that agreement, which is subject to the player passing a medical.

“Real Madrid incorporate into their new project one of the best players in Spain. Isco will play at the Bernabeu for the next five seasons,” read Madrid’s statement on the transfer.

It was followed up by Malaga’s own confirmation too: “Malaga have reached a transfer agreement with Real Madrid for Isco.

“Malaga would like to thank Isco and his family for their commitment, involvement and flawless performance as well as for the good times that he has provided the fans.”

No fee is mentioned for the player, who will be presented to the media next Wednesday, but it is believed to be an initial payment in the region of €27m, with a further €3m due in add ons and clauses.
