Fernando Morientes has given his backing to Real Madrid hiring Carlo Ancelotti, describing him as ‘an ideal Coach for Real Madrid’.
For one of the club’s former strikers, who now works in the youth set-up as a Coach, this is a wise move.
“I don’t know him personally but I have heard from others about him,” commented Morientes to reporters today.
“This year I have worked with Zidane in the youth team and when his name came up I asked him.
“He is a Coach with much experience, both from when he was a player and since as a Coach, and he is the type of Coach that is liked by the players.
“I think that he is an ideal Coach for Real Madrid.”
