Barcelona scouts are in Brazil to closely monitor the performances of David Luiz and Thiago Silva, media reports have claimed.
Mundo Deportivo have insisted this afternoon that Blaugrana representatives are at the Confederations Cup to watch the defensive duo with a view to signing the pair this summer.
Silva has been consistently linked with a move to Camp Nou since his days at Milan, whilst Luiz has only recently become a target for Tito Vilanova’s men.
The Chelsea centre-back could be available for around €25m, whilst the Paris Saint-German man is likely to command a bid of €40m.
Barca’s defensive frailties were laid bare last term, with Carles Puyol, Adriano and Gerard Pique all suffering injuries.
