Tissone opens the door to Torino

Real Mallorca midfielder Fernando Tissone could be on his way back to Serie A with Torino.

The 26-year-old Argentine played 15 La Liga games loaned out to the Islanders from Sampdoria last season, having previously spent the 2011-12 at the Iberostar Stadium on a similar arrangement.

Now, however, Tissone could be set for a return to Italy, although he told the TMW microphones whilst on holiday in Argentina that he is still open to offers.

“I’m on vacation, but my father is in Europe and is assessing offers. I won’t close the door to anything, although I was in Italy eight years, but right now it might be preferable to have a new adventure in England, where I’ve never played.

“It could even be Spain, where I’ve only been for 18 months, but I know there has been interest from Torino. That’s a possibility and I’m not excluding it.

“The last meeting between my father and [Gianluca] Petrachi, Torino’s director of football, took place last summer, but I’m free of any contractual obligations and I want to consider all my options.

“It has to be an important project and I’m looking for new incentives and motivations,” said Tissone.
