Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly had a request to be released from his Paris Saint-Germain contract granted and it will apparently be confirmed shortly.
The Italian and his agent Ernesto Bronzetti have been negotiating with PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Leonardo over the past two weeks to have him released from the final year of his contract.
However, that request has so far been denied, blocking the 54-year-old’s proposed move to Real Madrid, amid the Parisians’ desire and subsequent struggles to have a successor lined up beforehand.
Le Parisien report, though, that progress in that department has been made and that negotiations with Swansea City’s Michael Laudrup are progressing.
Despite former Getafe and Mallorca boss committing himself once more to Swansea this week, PSG’s reported talks with him will reportedly pave the way for Ancelotti to be released from his contract in the next day or two.
