Patrick Ebert has indicated that he is ready to leave Real Valladolid this summer, but that Atletico Madrid face competition for his signature.
The German attacking midfielder has enjoyed a prominent debut season in La Liga and has subsequently been linked with a move this summer.
Despite having been caught in March discussing such a possibility with Atletico Madrid, the 26-year-old has indicated that the capital club are not his only option.
“I’m ready to take the next step,” Ebert told Kicker magazine this week.
“There is a clear agreement, the club will not produce any obstacles if certain conditions are met.
“Where? Honestly, the Bundesliga turns me off. In Spain I have found happiness.
“Real Valladolid has given me the opportunity to play a great season, they have been a godsend. I will not generate any controversy to try and leave.
“Atletico? They are a very attractive club that will be playing in the Champions League, but they are not the only option that I have, I have also had offers from England.”
It is understood that Tottenham Hotspur are following the player.
