Christian Vieri has labelled Carlo Ancelotti ‘a guarantee’ for success at Real Madrid, based on his track record in other countries.
Despite difficulties in being released from his Paris Saint-Germain contract, Ancelotti is still seen as Madrid’s first choice Coach to replace Jose Mourinho this summer.
It is a possible move that has another of the tactician’s compatriots enthusiastic.
“Ancelotti is great, he has always done well. He is a guarantee,” Vieri commented after taking part in a Italy and Japanese legends match in Tokyo.
“I this as so in Spain. He has won in Italy, in England, in France…you can see him winning anywhere.
“He is a relaxed man, he can do a great job at Real Madrid. Madrid are a great team, whilst Ancelotti is someone who can bring tranquillity, which is important.”
Vieri, who won the Pichichi title with 24 goals scored during the 1997-98 campaign with Atletico Madrid, reflected on Los Colchoneros’ recent work under Diego Simeone.
“This year they have become even greater than in recent years, they are doing well.
“They are a great team, with very good fans. That is why they are stronger now. Every year they show they are a great team.”
