Julen Lopetegui says he is aware of the threat posed by the German Under-21 side to his team in the European Championships.
La Rojita meet Rainer Adrion’s men in at the Netanya Municipal Stadium on Sunday, having narrowly beaten Russia in the opening group game, and boss Lopetegui knows it will not be easy against the Germans.
“We are in the finals so no team are going to be an easy game. It's very difficult to win these games and against Russia we nearly didn't, but I think this is normal in this kind of tournament. We just need to work hard and keep our options open,” he told UEFA’s official website.
“Germany have a very complete squad and they have got options. They played a really good match against the Netherlands and they had their chances to win, even though they eventually lost.
“They played a really good second half. However, we just have to focus on our game and we know what we have to do.
”Germany play at the very highest level and their players have a lot of quality. They are versatile and have players who are at some of the biggest teams in Europe.
“Every team has a chance of getting through to the semi-finals, but for now we are thinking only about our match against Germany.”
